Parking in Brunswick for Center Events
There is no parking at any time in any of the private lots on Mason Street. We have one space in the four-car gravel lot in front of the Center, which we reserve for staff as needed.
Evenings
Participants in evening events can usually find places to park on Maine or Federal Streets near Mason Street. The "2 hour" parking limit on marked spaces is not in effect after 6 pm.
Daytime and Saturdays
Partipants in daytime and weekend events need to be careful about where they park. Parking on nearby streets is either prohibited or limited to 2 hours before 6 pm.
Brunswick provides free all-day parking in two municipal lots, one between Maine and Federal Streets, and one between Cumberland and Pleasant, shown above in blue. Both lots also have some spots marked as "2 hour," which should be avoided for an all-day event. There is also all-day street parking in the sections marked in blue along Union Street and Gilman.
Sundays
Participants in Sunday events need to follow the daytime/Saturday guidelines above, but may also park all day in any "2 hour" parking spaces (which are not in force on Sunday).
Snow
Parking regulations allow wintertime overnight on street parking on town streets unless a parking ban has been declared. The town issues emergency parking bans on a regular basis when storms are forecast or winter operations require the bans. The local news media outlets (television and radio stations) are notified of the ban and the town has a dedicated line to call to check to see if a parking ban has been declared. Parking ban line is 725-0363.
