The Brunswick Center is located on the second floor of the old Knights of Columbus Hall attached to the current Icon Gallery. The door is at the far right of the porch. Parking can be complicated; please see our parking directions and map.

Coming from points north (Bangor, Augusta) on I-95/295:

The Center is about 40 minutes from Augusta

• Coming from Augusta on I-95 (Maine Turnpike), take Exit 103, marked "South 295/Gardiner/Brunswick." Then take exit 31A, marked "Brunswick/Topsham/196 East" and turn left from off-ramp onto 196 to cross the highway
• At the fourth light, turn right onto Topsham's Main Street, marked "201 South/Brunswick/Maine Street"
• A little after the next light you'll cross the Androscoggin River and be on Maine Street in Brunswick; go through a second light, and move into the left lane; at the immediate third light turn left onto Mason Street
• 19 Mason Street is half a block down Mason Street on the left-hand side

Coming from points south (Boston, Portsmouth, Portland) on I-95/295:

The Center is about 30 minutes from Portland

• Coming from the Maine border on I-95 (Maine Turnpike), take the I-295 exit in Scarborough (Exit 6A; Exit 44 after May 15, 2004). Then take Exit 28, marked "1 Coastal Route/Brunswick/Bath," which puts you onto Pleasant Street/Route 1 North, for a 3-mile trip into downtown Brunswick
• After the second light, move into the right lane, marked "To 201/123/24/Maine Street"
• After the fourth light, move into the left lane; at the fifth light, Pleasant Street ends at Maine Street; turn left onto Maine Street
• Stay on Maine Street until the first light; turn right at the light onto Mason Street
• 19 Mason Street is half a block down Mason Street on the left-hand side

Coming from points west (Lewiston/Auburn) on SR196:

The Center is about 40 minutes from Lewiston

• Take 196 until you cross over I-295
• At the fourth light after crossing I-295, turn right onto Topsham's Main Street, marked "201 South/Brunswick/Maine Street"
• A little after the next light you'll cross the Green Bridge into Brunswick; go through a second light, and move into the left lane; at the third light turn left onto Mason Street
• 19 Mason Street is half a block down Mason Street on the left-hand side

Coming from downeast (Rockland, Damariscotta, Bath) on Route 1:

The Center is about 12 minutes from Bath
It can feel that coming from downeast to the Center is a classic case of "you can't get there from here" because of the way Route 1 bypasses downtown Brunswick and because of Brunwick's commitment to traffic control with one-way streets. Here are two routes, one easy and somewhat slower, and one more challenging and somewhat quicker.
Easier, slower:

• From Route 1, Brunswick, take the Cook's Corner exit
• Turn right at the light (it can be a contentious merge into the right lane) onto Route 24 North, Bath Road
• At a little over 2 miles, turn right at the fourth light onto Federal Street
• Stay on Federal until it ends at the stop sign at Mason Street; turn left onto Mason
• 19 Mason Street is the second building on the right

• From Route 1, Brunswick, go past the Cook's Corner exit and stay on Route 1 as it enters downtown Brunswick, marked "24 South/Maine Street/Brunswick"
• Stay in left lane as you go under Maine Street and take the first left onto Cushing Street
• Take an immediate left from Cushing onto Oak Street
• Stay on Oak until it ends at Union Street; turn left onto Union Street and then right when Union ends at Mill Street
• Mill Street ends at Maine Street -- go right and then take an immedidate left at the light onto Mason Street
• 19 Mason Street is half a block down Mason Street on the left-hand side
